Sheryl Crow lines up 2010 summer road plans and tour dates : Sheryl Crow has announced a mix of headlining dates and festival appearances this summer, along with a return to the newly resurrected Lilith Fair.
The singer/songwriter kicks off the outing June 11 at Chattanooga, TN's Riverbend Festival. The trip runs through a June 26 show in Bridgeview, IL. Dates are still being worked out for Crow's second appearance at the traveling Lilith Festival (the singer was a featured performer during Lilith's 1998 and 1999 incarnations, after which the event slipped into a lengthy hiatus.)
Details on Crow's summer schedule are included at right. Complete information, including on-sale dates, can be found at the performer's website.
For Crow's most recent studio release, 2008's "Detours," which debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200, the pop rocker reconnected with songwriting partner/producer Bill Bottrell, who also co-authored Crow's 1993 chart-topping debut, "Tuesday Night Music Club." Together, they penned "Out of Our Heads," the latest album's third single.
In November, Crow and A&M Records re-released "Tuesday Night Music Club" in a deluxe 2CD/DVD version. In addition to a DVD featuring music videos for each of the album's singles, the bonus CD contains unreleased songs and B-sides, including four cuts--"Coffee Shop," "Killer Life," "Essential Trip of Hereness" and "You Want More"--that were recorded in 1995 and intended for Crow's follow-up album.
"Tuesday Night Music Club" has been certified seven-times platinum and earned three Grammy Awards for Crow, including Best New Artist and Record of the Year for "All I Wanna Do." source
Sheryl Crow tour charts summer concert dates for '100 Miles' With a new album on the horizon, singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow is putting the finishing touches on an itinerary that will keep her on the road for most of the summer.
Crow begins her summer with a festival-saturated, 12-date tour leg that kicks off June 11 at the Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga, TN, and wraps June 26 with a set at the sold-out Crossroads Guitar Festival in Bridgeview, IL. During that two-week period, the singer-songwriter will also appear on June 13 at the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, IL, and June 24 at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI.
The second leg of Crow's headline tour launches in late summer, running from August 12 at Meadowbrook Pavilion in Gilford, NH, and concluding with a September 14-15 stand at The Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA. The 15-date block also includes engagements on August 15 at koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary, NC, and August 31 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO.
In between these two rounds of touring, Crow will join the Lilith Fair caravan for the traveling festival's first outing in a decade. She'll perform afternoon sets at the first five events of Lilith's 2010 season -- from June 27 at McMahan Stadium in Calgary, AB, through July 3 at Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, WA.
Public ticket sales begin April 17 for her Red Rocks Amphitheatre show, April 23 for her Ironstone Amphitheatre gig, and April 26 for both Mountain Winery concerts. Additional information on tour dates and ticket sales can be found on Crow's official Web site.
Crow is awaiting the July 20 release of her seventh studio album, "100 Miles from Memphis," an R&B and soul-tinged record. The effort follows 2008's "Detours," which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Since her 1993 debut "Tuesday Night Music Club," all of Crow's studio albums have peaked within the top 10 positions on the album chart. article source
